Our specialized EVA midsole is reinforced with Kevlar™ fiber puncture-proof fabric, while the Jacquard mesh upper with midfoot overlay reinforcements has been treated with a Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finish, providing some basic protection from the elements (not waterproof.) I have always had a preference for being barefoot or wearing sandals because I walk / hike a lot. I don’t have the feet, leg or back problems other people my age have because their foot muscles are so weak. I have been hiking up to 10 miles in my Peluvas for six months now and l love them! Traction is amazing on dirt, rocks and scree. I love the fit. I went a full size up as I always wear with socks (except for pics) and the styling of the ATRs is very pleasing to the eye. I even love looking at the bottom with contrast of the rubber on the outsole, lol. I had tried a pair of the Carrie slip on and I think there was a manufacturing defect in the toes so sent that one back. Tried the socks and I am not a fan. I do prefer another brand. But these shoes wowza!! If the Stands were a little more pleasing to the eye, I'd order a pair today as these ones squeak maybe a little too much at the gym and I'm just looking for an excuse to get more pairs. As it is, I have my eye on the Aspen for the colder months!

First off, far my favorite. I even use it for Manitou Incline and dog off leash trail. Recently, Mitchell lake trail Colorado and two more lake like Blue Lake Id give 4 stars, will say size up. Im 6.5 and I have ridiculous wide feet like E4 men. P.s. they're dirty after 5 hours Mitchell lake trail :) Worth it.
