    The Strand ATR features a fully redesigned, trail-specific outsole with strategic cushioning, puncture protection, and buffed-up traction suitable for the most rugged trails. This is your best choice for rucking, trekking, or advanced hiking on your favorite trails, and medium-to-high impact gym or other fitness activities.

    While we've been programmed to believe you need a rigid, high-top boot for hiking, the Strand ATR is the best hiking shoe you'll ever wear. Instead of stomping over terrain and dispersing impact inappropriately throughout your lower body, the Strand ATR allows your feet to gracefully navigate even the most challenging obstacles and rough surfaces with the dexterity you need to be safe, stay in balance, and absorb impact efficiently. 

     

    Our specialized EVA midsole is reinforced with Kevlar™ fiber puncture-proof fabric, while the newly-engineered Jacquard mesh upper with midfoot overlay reinforcements has been treated with a Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finish, providing some basic protection from the elements (not waterproof.) Enjoy the convenience of the ATR’s quick-lace system to cinch up and head out for adventures.

    • We recommend ordering a full size larger than your typical sports shoe size, especially if you are new to the snug five-toe feel.
    • Peluvas are great with or without five-toe socks, but if you use socks, definitely go a full size higher.
    • Please use the "What is my Peluva size" foot-scan tool to dial-in your best size. This button is right next to the sizing options on the shoe. We guarantee satisfaction and easy returns, but let's get things right the first time!

    Orders placed by 2pm PT are fulfilled same-day.

    Once fulfilled, ships in 5-8 business days unless an expedited shipping option available to your address is selected at checkout.

  • Easy Returns

    We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.

    That's why we offer a generous 30-day, no-questions-asked return policy for all our shoes with our $3.98 Redo purchase insurance option available at checkout. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase (outside any issues due to factory defects, which are on us!), you may return the shoes within 30 days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price.

    Please include all original tags and packaging with your return, wipe all items in your return clean from any debris, and keep damage during your trial of fit and feel to a reasonable minimum.

    Please note that we only accept returns within the United States. International returns will not be accepted.

    At this time, we do not provide complimentary shipping or return labels for international orders. If you opt to return an order at your expense, we will process an exchange or refund once your order is received at our warehouse. All shipping costs and brokerage fees for customs are set by the courier.

    The Game Changer

    So, I've had my shoes for a couple of weeks now. Initially I ordered a little too large. The return and reshipping process was so smooth. My second pair was the right fit. I went a full size up from my normal shoe size (this was the right size). Make sure to get the right size socks. I did order a set of ankle toe socks but they only had a small size. I got 3 pairs of the no show in medium. If you choose a sock size too small, it WILL cause discomfort or pain. It took a few times to get my feet used to the alignment when putting the shoes on. It takes a few days to adjust as well. I have bad hips, knock-knees, and high arches. I can tell you that none of those have been a problem. But, when you're breaking them in, they will make you feel where you are weak in your legs (i.e. knee tendons, ankles, soles, whatever). I love these shoes. They are lightweight and I can walk on any surface without fear of the sole poking me when I step on something uneven.

    If you're like me who spent years in confining work boots or tight closed toe shoes, you will need to give yourself a grace period. It is all worth it in the end. Worth the money. Worth the wait. Worth the return and reship. Customer service is easy and quick.

    These shoes are amazing. Haven't tried running in them, but I do work in the ER and they have made my life more comfortable and mobile.

    Miracle shoes

    These shoes are absolutely a miracle for me. I have been in constant foot pain for about 1 year. I have tried everything. Multiple Dr. appointment. Multiple chiropractic appointments even $2000 worth of insoles. All of which didn’t make a difference. Yet, I put these crazy looking shoes on and I have had any pain. It was instant relief. This is why I tell everybody who asks these are miracle shoes. Thank you so much. Also you’re over. Service is over-the-top. Excellent excellent excellent customer service.

    My new favorite walking / hiking shoe!

    I've come to wear my Peluva's almost daily. They're so comfortable I sometimes forget I'm wearing them; socks, too! It took about 2 full weeks of walking in them for them to comform to my feet. I ordered a full size up. Now they fit like a glove. I'm going to get a second pair soon, I'm so convinced by them! I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend them to others who might be sitting on the fence. You won't regret it!

    Helps Significantly

    I have flat feet, arthritis in my big toes, and bunions. I was getting to the point where I couldn’t walk as much and would have daily pain with all. I bought these and wear them full time now. Vast improvement I think on all fronts. Will say they ran small though did have to size up as recommended.

    Comfy & stylish

    It takes about five minutes to get the shoes on the first few times but gets easier. The inside under the toe area is a little rough but with the toe socks it's fine. Order one full size bigger than your normal size. I tried half a size bigger & had to exchange them. They have definitely made a difference in my feet/toes. It's hard to explain but my steps feel more stable. They are light & don't feel like they are worth the cost. But if they last, they're are!
