Verified Buyer12 hour shifts in a hospital
I work in the medical field and would wear these for 12 hours a day and would run up and down 4 flights of stairs for it was faster than the elevators. I worked on the top floor of a hospital for 4 years. I would push/pull (patients, equipment), assist patients to(stand, sit, lay down transfer), take labs, paperwork you name it for a night shift nursing assistant. If something needed to be found or moved I normally would be the one they would call for I would get it done in a timely matter. Depending on which unit and or assignment I was working i would do in a given day 7k(sitting shift)-45k (progressive care unit <PCU>) steps in on day or shift. The other factor was If I was on the code team. This is the only shoe I would recommend! Saying I was on my feet was an understatement when I was at work. The only down falls I had with these shoes (which is funny when you think about it), is 1) I had to put an insert in (toeless ones) due to how much I would walk in a day, and 2) that I would get oxygen tubes and or iv lines caught in between my toes. (No I never pulled them out or off of a patient) due to how they are made I could feel everything every time they got passed the tip of the toes. I also noticed I would not drag my feet like I did in other shoes. I could keep up with my coworker who was 6'5" as we raced to codes. I would have to say the funnies thing happened while I was wearing these shoes for I had a patient that was angry upset and just not having a good day for he was in the hospital. Lets face it who wants to be in the hospital, no one does most of the time the staff doesn't either. But i digress. I was helping the gentlemen to stand up for the first time after a procedure. He was in pain grumbling using choice words at me. He finally gets to the edge of the bed and I take a "stance" to get myself ready to help him stand up; shoulder width apart, one foot slightly forward, knees bent. He is holding the edge of the mattress looking at his feet. The patient saw my toes move, he jumped and said "What the ****". "Are you okay sir?" "What in the heck are you wearing on your FEET!" "Oh my toe Shoes? The Company is called Peluva, I love these things!" We ended up talking about my shoes and it distracted him enough from the pain to laugh as well as do what was needed to be done. That seem to be the turning point of his stay. The next night I came in to work, the day charge called me over and asked to see my shoes. She shook her head and laughed. I was told I was requested to work with a patient again for I made his stay better. A simple distraction and it worked wonders. I highly recommend, if not for comfort well maybe for an ice breaker to get a conversation going. I know it works for me.

Verified BuyerLoving my peluva
I use them at the gym and it is the best balance and comfort I have had in a while. I did run with them, while I'm not a runner I was expecting joint pain after my run and I'm glad to say that I did not experience pain at all. I'm a peluva fan and consider myself converted :)

Verified BuyerVery nice shoe, well made and comfortable!
So, these are not like the trainers you are used to wearing. These are flexible to your foot and they feel great on! I love these knowing that I am protecting the physiology of my foot and therefore my knees, and my hips. It's all connected!! Start early in life with this and you can maybe avoid hip or knee replacement when you get older.

Verified BuyerStrong Toes Make Strong Ankles, Knees, Glutes, and Back
I have worn these Women's Strand Sport Mesh for almost 4 months now, and could not be happier! I have suffered from plantar fasciitis, a plantar fibroma, an early bunion, ankle sprains, knee arthritis, and tight hamstrings and lower back. Wearing these shoes, even after a few hours, seems to lessen all of these issues. The ability to splay the toes, moving them independently, allows me to really plant myself as I am doing weight lifting such as squats and single leg raises. I have walked and have run in them, with ease. The zero drop makes you feel like you are walking practically barefoot, allowing the calf to stretch appropriately. Running downhill in my Peluvas, I was able to grip the earth, and was able to run way faster than normal and not feel like I was going to trip or fall. I have even done yoga in my Peluvas, and it allowed me to stick in the deep poses better and helped my balance on poses where I normally slip a little. I have worn Peluvas to work in healthcare, and my patients say they look "cute," but I wear them for the comfort. My feet never ache at the end of the day. I really didn't have much of a "break-in" period as some have described, but maybe I am lucky. The only thing I wish were slightly different, is that the big toe slot were 1-2 mm wider, but I may just need to size up. I think my big toes may just be slightly larger that average, lol. They seem to stay pretty clean looking too, even after hiking in some dusty areas. Easy wet wash cloth and clean again. I bought them in the pretty light blue, but am considering getting them in black and perhaps the hiking style. The tennis court shoe is also catching my eye! They definitely look cuter with the no show socks or perhaps no socks at all, but I love crew socks, and the Peluva toe socks are working well.

For at least the last 10 years my feet hurt and are always uncomfortable. After 2 days of wearing these shoes that is no longer the case. I suffer from bunions and my feet feel great. I preferred toe socks so I did buy a size larger.
