I just returned from a few days of hiking in my new Aspen Winter Boots in the NH White Mountains. These boots were a game changer for me! (I have become very uncomfortable in conventional shoes in my late sixties and have found the Strand ATR shoes to be a lifesaver for daily neighborhood walks this spring and so decided to try out the hiking boots.) After quickly developing discomfort in my metatarsals on our first rocky trail in my old sturdy hiking boots, I decided to change into my new Peluva boots. What a relief! I was able to maneuver much more nimbly and found the soles completely comfortable even on rocky terrain. I also found them to work well over a short steep rock scramble section on another trail. The shoes did not seem overly warm even in early June. The thicker fleece is just at the ankle and the main boot lining is a lighter fleeced fabric. I’m really grateful that these boots seem to have enough cushion in the sole for comfort on harder uneven terrain yet had great flexibility for footing and maneuvering. Suffice it to say that I did not revert to my old boots thereafter and wore my Peluva boots for the remaining days of my trip.

With the boots, I also sized up because the website says the shoes run small. With the boots, absolutely do NOT size up. (from my personal experience) I'm going to have to return them for my ordinary shoe size. And for the sport mesh, I hope I can return them down half a size and change it out for the ATR. But then if they are too small, I need to go back to 11.

Had them for a little for a month now, they wear out pretty fast. :( But very comfortable and probably the best shoe I've ever put on my feet for sure.

Unlimited returns is great but I did have to pay a small price, so it wasn't free but it was worth it. I've had to return the shoes several times to get the right fit. I hoping this last time was exactly that - the last time. Fingers crossed because I do want these shoes to work for my aching feet.

Bought a pair of white shoes to go with my black pair. Great shoes, especially when walking the course, pushing a cart. Only issue is getting sand in them when hitting out of the traps.
