    The Strand ATR (All Terrain) features a custom designed, trail-specific outsole with strategic cushioning, puncture protection, and buffed-up traction suitable for the most rugged trails. This is your best choice for rucking, trekking, or advanced hiking on your favorite trails, and medium-to-high impact gym or other fitness activities.

    While we've been programmed to believe you need a rigid, high-top boot for hiking, the Strand ATR is the best hiking shoe you'll ever wear. Instead of stomping over terrain and dispersing impact inappropriately throughout your lower body, the Strand ATR allows your feet to gracefully navigate even the most challenging obstacles and rough surfaces with the dexterity you need to be safe, stay in balance, and absorb impact efficiently.

    Our specialized EVA midsole is reinforced with Kevlar™ fiber puncture-proof fabric, while the Jacquard mesh upper with midfoot overlay reinforcements has been treated with a Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finish, providing some basic protection from the elements (not waterproof.) Enjoy the convenience of the ATR’s quick-lace system to cinch up and head out for adventures.

  • Size & Fit

    • We recommend ordering a half-size to full-size larger than your typical sports shoe size, especially if you are new to the snug five-toe feel.
    • Peluvas are great with or without five-toe socks, but if you use socks, definitely go a full size higher.
    • Please use the "What is my Peluva size" foot-scan tool to dial-in your best size. This button is right next to the sizing options on the shoe. We guarantee satisfaction and easy returns, but let's get things right the first time!

    Orders placed by 2pm PT are fulfilled same-day.

    Please return your shoes in the original packaging in new condition, with no signs of wear. Try them around the house to be sure you have the correct size before putting them to use!

    Exactly what I was looking for in a shoe!

    These are great! Nice and wide, zero drop, no toe spring, and have a bit of stack height to them with out being squishy, but I can still feel the ground! For me, the size tool was accurate, no need to size up like the company recommends. My left foot is 25cm long and 9.4 wide, my right is 24.8cm long and 9.5cm wide and these shoes are perfection! I have medium to medium high volume feet and my feet do not feel squished in any way shape or form in these and I think they could easily accommodate a foot that is 10cm for those pizza shaped feet out there! If you have been barefoot for a while already, you will have an easier transition into these than someone just starting to get away from traditional shoes. If you are coming from traditional shoes, be patient with it! I had went to barefoot style and then tried going back to traditional footwear and wound up with capsulitis in the 2nd metatarsal in the ball of my foot. The podiatrist and PT were little help for me. It took learning on my own about what I could do and it took a long time but I am finally able to wear shoes with out metatarsal support again! It does still flare up if I wear shoes that are a bit tight so I try to avoid that. These shoes are perfect for my needs. I originally bought them just for walking but they have become my main shoes. Having to invest in the socks on top of the shoes is what had me going back and forth but it was definitely worth it! I also had to use the return process because I wasn't sure if…

    Very Comfortable, Dry Conditions Only

    I have had barefoot shoes before, but never a "toe shoe_ and was excited to try these. I'm a pretty solid 8.5 with short toes. The 41 fits great, though my pinky toe slips out once in a while when on an incline. Pros: Very comfortable. Super easy to get on. Thick soles feel great on the trail. Not slippery. Socks fit great, too!

    Cons: I expected these rugged trail shoes to be at least water resistant. Just walking across a mossy trail my feet were soaked. I live in Western Washington, so damp trails are the norm. And I'm disappointed at how the toe compartments chewed up the socks after just one wear.

    No Worries

    I do not have to worry about how my ankles and knees these shoes handle my step! My hips are happy as well! Definitely comfortable for my toe box and arch support more than other barefoot shoes I have tried! My Myoskeletal Alignment clients know I'm excited for my comfort and function. They also love the education during their treatments !!!

    Personally I want some elegant dress shoes too!

    Great choice!

    I had considered buying Peluva shoes for quite a while before finally buying a pair. My only regret is that I didn’t buy them sooner! I’ve worn my new Peluvas for 3 road runs - one being a 10 mile run. They were great from the get go. I look forward to running in them on the trails.
