Product Details

The Strand ATR (All Terrain) features a custom designed, trail-specific outsole with strategic cushioning, puncture protection, and buffed-up traction suitable for the most rugged trails. This is your best choice for rucking, trekking, or advanced hiking on your favorite trails, and medium-to-high impact gym or other fitness activities. Also a great option for those new to barefoot shoes and wanting a bit more stability, support and grip.

While we've been programmed to believe you need a rigid, high-top boot for hiking, the Strand ATR is the best hiking shoe you'll ever wear. Instead of stomping over terrain and dispersing impact inappropriately throughout your lower body, the Strand ATR allows your feet to gracefully navigate even the most challenging obstacles and rough surfaces with the dexterity you need to be safe, stay in balance, and absorb impact efficiently.

Our specialized EVA midsole is reinforced with Kevlar™ fiber puncture-proof fabric, while the Jacquard mesh upper with midfoot overlay reinforcements has been treated with a Durable Water-Repellent (DWR) finish, providing some basic protection from the elements (not waterproof.) Enjoy the convenience of the ATR’s quick-lace system to cinch up and head out for adventures.

Size & Fit
- We recommend ordering a one-half to one full size larger than your typical sports shoe size, especially if you are new to the snug five-toe feel.
- Peluvas are great with or without five-toe socks, but if you use socks, definitely go a full size higher.
- Please use the "What is my Peluva size" foot-scan tool to dial-in your best size. This button is right next to the sizing options on the shoe. We guarantee satisfaction and easy returns, but let's get things right the first time!

If you are unsure about sizing, please confirm the Redo purchase insurance option (default choice in your shopping cart) for unlimited back&forth USA shipping.
Please return your shoes in the original packaging in new condition, with no signs of wear. Try them around the house to be sure you have the correct size before putting them to use!
Please note that most return requests are due to: difficulty fitting toes into their slots, OR thinking the shoes are too small/too tight, when in fact they’re correct. Please watch our Getting Your Fit and Sizing Correct video to learn best practices and feel confident you have the correct shoe.

Wish I got them sooner
I have seen to many doctors over the last ten years. None of them had an answer for the back pain, hip pain, even muscle pain. One week in these shoes, I no longer leave work waiting to sit down. Foot no longer hurt, hip pain gone. Just who’s I had done this sooner.

Feels good
Moving from Vibrams to Peluva is a huge switch in quality without a huge price hike, I look forward to getting more in the future! Customer support was good too, the shoes run small and I was told to get a 12. Needless to say they were too small and I had to get 14s, I paid shipping for the return but they exchanged it in just a few days.

Men’s Strand ATR
I was using a zero drop, minimalist shoe to workout in when I saw the Peluva’s advertised approximately one year ago. I was skeptical if this shoe would withstand the cross training I do. I have been wearing the Peluva’s for about three weeks now and I am totally satisfied.
